Skills Counselors Learn at Camp

The counselors at Camp Tioga are apart of our family! Being a camp counselor is not  your average summer job. In fact, counselors learn a lot of valuable skills along the way.

Teamwork
Most people in today's society are only concerned with themselves. This is not the case at Camp Tioga. Our activities involve constant collaboration with others. Learning how to work within a team is a lifelong skill.

Social Skills
At Camp Tioga, you will encounter people from every corner of the globe. Not only does this open your mind to new ideas, but it enhances your social skills. 

Leadership Skills
Last but certainly not least, camp counselors are leaders! They quickly learn how to manage and lead a group of young people. Leadership is extremely important at camp and in the workforce.

With a camper to staff ratio of better than 3 to 1, Camp Tioga's staff is composed of carefully selected sports instructors, coaches, health care professionals, graduates and students from the leading colleges and universities from 18 different countries and all over the United States.  Being a counselor at Camp Tioga is an incredibly rewarding job!
