Tips for Sleeping Better at Camp

When the counselors say "lights out," everyone knows that it's time for bed. Some campers are able to fall asleep quickly after a day of playing various sports. However, other campers are not as lucky. We understand that it can be hard to fall asleep in a new environment. Below are some tips that will help you get a good night's sleep.

The Right Gear
Do you sleep with a face mask on at home? If so, it is a good idea to have it with you. Are you a light sleeper who hears everything? Earplugs will help you get to sleep.

Cut Back on the Caffeine
Some people get through the day with a healthy dose of caffeine. However, caffeine could keep you up all night. Opt for water at night instead of soda.

Have a Routine
When you have a routine in place, it makes going to bed that much easier. Your body will starting winding down at the same time each night. Some people enjoy curling up with a good book and calling it a night.

We hope that the tips listed above help you drift off to sleep. Are you looking for a sleepaway camp for next summer?
