21st Century Skills Kids Learn At Camp

It is important for kids today to learn 21st century skills at a young age. In other words, teaching them certain skills early on will prepare them for the modern workforce. Camp is a great place for children to learn these skills.

Social Skills and Teamwork
At Camp Tioga, children will be placed into groups and bunks with others. This provides children the opportunity to work collaboratively with others toward a common goal. In the process, lifelong friends are made.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
Children will get the opportunity to do various activities throughout the day. Some of these activities involve critical thinking and problem solving skills. Both of these are valued greatly in today's society.

Some schools across the country do not offer the arts their students. This is not the case at Camp Tioga. At camp, children are encouraged to express their creativity through arts and crafts, dance and the performing arts. We even offer a unique Circus Program!

Top Reasons To Enroll Middle Schoolers In Camp

Do you have a child in middle school? If so, enrolling them in sleepaway camp may be one of the best decisions you make. Below are the top reasons why you should consider enrolling them.

Kids Can Be Themselves
In today's society, kids seem to be growing up faster and faster. It is important to slow down this process. Kids should be kids! Camp is a place where it is okay to be silly and messy.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors
Kids today seem to be attached to their cell phones. As their connection with technology grows, their connection with nature diminishes. However, camp can fix this! We have a no cell phone policy at Camp Tioga.

Lifelong Friends
For some, it can be difficult to create lasting friendships in middle school. This is not the case at Camp Tioga. When young people live and play together, it helps forge lifelong friendships.

Mentors
Campers and counselors alike are part of the Camp Tioga family. In many cases, camp counselors act as mentors to their campers. Our camp counselors are role models for all of the campers.

If you are interested in having the best summer of your life and making lifelong friends, enroll at Camp Tioga! We will be happy to discuss every aspect of our program. Call (516) 938-0894 or email us at Info@CampTioga.com to learn more.
