The Importance of Camp Friendships

At Camp Tioga, we provide fun, friendships and fantastic lifelong memories. After spending an entire summer together, it is no wonder why camp friendships stand the test of time. Below are some additional reasons why camp friends are great friends!

They Like You For You
Camp friends know the real you. They have seen you without any fancy bells and whistles--and they still like you. They are your friends because of your personality.

You Trust Them
At Camp Tioga, we do plenty of trust exercises with the campers. This allows campers to form strong bonds with one another. This strong level of trust also allows campers to develop strong, meaningful friendships.

You Grew Up Together
It is important to stay close to the people you grew up with. They help remind you of the past and the good memories. No one can ever take that place in your heart.

If you are interested in having the best summer of your life and making lifelong friends, enroll at Camp Tioga! Call to arrange a personal interview with our directors at your convenience. We will be happy to discuss every aspect of our program. Call (516) 938-0894 or email us at Info@CampTioga.com to learn more.

The Benefits of Summer Camp

There is no denying that a summer camp experience will be filled with fun. However, summer camp is more than just a good time. Below are some of the benefits your child will reap when they attend Camp Tioga.

Stay Physically Active
These days, it seems that kids are attached to their electronic devices. Some are on their smart phones, iPads or video games all day long. This is not the case at Camp Tioga. With 80 activities to choose from, your child will be physically active during the day. This will also give them the opportunity to unplug from devices and develop social skills.

Find A Passion
When your child attends summer camp, they are exposed to many different activities and experiences. Your child may find that they are passionate about a certain sport or skill. This allows children to express themselves in a healthy manner.

Develop Lifelong Friendships

Camp is a great place to make friends. They will be surrounded by other children who have the same interests. Since they will be spending an entire summer together, it gives them the right amount of time to form a meaningful bond.

Camp Tioga is much more than just a camp. Campers and counselors alike are apart of the Camp Tioga family. If you would like to become apart of our family, call 516-938-0894 or email info@camptioga.com to enroll.
